CONTRACT FORMATION

These general conditions of sale and the associated contract form an inseparable contract.

The contract definitively is concluded when the reservation is received, by mail, by our online form, by telephone or by e-mail.

Auberge de Chindonne must also confirm its acceptance in writing.

Any modification of this contract must be the subject of a written request from the customer.

In the event of disagreement, Auberge de Chindonne reserves the right to cancel the contract and apply penalties.

 

PRICE

The prices indicated are per person for the type of room/rooms and the dates selected and are subject to change.

Prices include all taxes and are in Swiss francs (CHF).

Euros are also accepted at an exchange of 1:1.

The prices take into account the VAT applicable on the day of the reservation and any change in the rate applicable to the VAT will be automatically reflected in the prices indicated on the invoice date.

Any modification or introduction of new legal or regulatory taxes imposed by the competent authorities will automatically be reflected in the prices indicated on the date of invoicing.

Until payment of the stay, prices are subject to change without notice.

 

RESERVATION / CONFIRMATION

Reservations by phone, fax, mail and email are confirmed via email.

A deposit may be required for group bookings of more than 10 people.

The deposit must be paid within 15 days from the date of the reservation. A credit card number must be given as a guarantee for your reservation, even after payment of the deposit.

Without this deposit, the contract is considered void.

 

BALANCE PAYMENT

The amount owed by the customer is the amount indicated on the invoice given to the customer.

Payments can be made either on site at the Auberge de Chindonne (the evening before departure), or by prepayment.

Our hostel reserves the right to refuse any reservation in the event of an existing dispute with the customer, in particular in the event of: total or partial non-payment of a previous reservation by the customer, in cases where a payment dispute remains, of refusal of authorization of payment by bank card for non-payment or partial payment, if the customer has engaged in fraudulent activity, or for any other legitimate reason.

The responsibility of our auberge can, in no case, be engaged in this respect.

 

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS

In case of modification or cancellation, please inform us no later than 48 hours before by email or phone.

Any modification or cancellation must be accepted by the Auberge de Chindonne by email or phone.

In the event of non-compliance with the deadlines, we reserve the right to debit your credit card for the total amount of your reservation according to our reservation conditions.

For groups of 10 or more:

  • Cancellation 30 days before the arrival date: full refund of the deposit paid
  • Cancellation from 29 days to 15 days before the date of arrival: reimbursement of the deposit up to 50%
  • Cancellation within 15 days of the day of arrival: the entire deposit will not be refunded.

Unless otherwise stipulated in writing in a contract, the date of receipt of the written cancellation shall prevail.

 

RELOCATION

In the event that, for reasons beyond its control, the auberge is not able to ensure the reservation taken, it will make its best efforts to relocate you at its expense in a hotel of at least equivalent category located nearby.

 

PETS

Pets are welcome at the auberge but are only accepted in the private rooms.

 

BEDROOMS AND DORMITORIES

Rooms and dormitories are available on arrival from 3pm and must be vacated by 9am on the day of departure.

In the event of late arrival or early departure, the customer is required to notify the Auberge de Chindonne. 

The Auberge de Chindonne cannot be held responsible for the theft, loss or damage to luggage stored by the customer in the common areas of the Auberge, in the room, locked or not, or in the trunk of his car in the parking lot.

If you lose your room key, you will be charged for it.

 

CANCELLATION CLAUSE:

In the event of a force of nature or the impossibility of operation (natural disaster, road closed, legal directives, etc.), the reservation may be terminated automatically by the Auberge de Chindonne, without this being able to give rise to a payment of damages to customers.

 

AGREEMENT ON PROOF

The e-mails will prevail between the parties as will the automatic registration systems used on the site, in particular as to the nature and date of the reservation.

By express agreement, electronic communications are considered by the Auberge de Chindonne as by the customer as having a probative value equivalent to that of the written documents.

Our computer records, kept under reasonable security conditions, will provide proof of communications, reservations and payments made.

 

APPLICABLE LAW

These General Conditions of Sale are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is in Monthey (Switzerland)

 

DISCLAIMER

All the information provided by the Auberge de Chindonne about its environment (weather, avalanche risk, mountain routes, etc.) is given for information only and without any guarantee.

Auberge de Chindonne cannot be held responsible for any resulting problems.

 

RULES OF GOOD CONDUCT

Eating, drinking, and smoking are prohibited in the private rooms and dormitories.

The consumption of food and drink other than that provided in the auberge is prohibited.

If any issues do arise, we urge you to report them to employees promptly so that they can be resolved as quickly as possible.

The Auberge de Chindonne may cease providing all of its services, without notice or compensation if customers affect the tranquility of the establishment or damage the reputation or security of the auberge.
