With nearly limitless hiking paths to enjoy throughout the mountain region, we are happy to welcome you to a friendly spot where you can enjoy food/drinks in our restaurant, or even stay overnight in our comfy accommodations.
The Chindonne lodge is located directly along the Tour des Dents du Midi with catering & accommodation possible for groups of all sizes. Once you arrive, you can select to stay overnight with a dormitory bed, a private room or even our our secluded Mazot cabin.
Whether you’re a beginner or a experienced hiker, you are guaranteed to discover a hiking adventure throughout the vast number of tours available for you to explore. Short Day Hikes You Can Do From Chindonne
When you stay at Chindonne, you will have access to a wide range of hiking options in the surrounding mountains. From shorter day hikes to longer, more challenging treks, there is something for everyone.
For example, you could embark on the Dent de Valerette hike, which offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape and is sure to be an unforgettable adventure. Alternatively, the Forest Tour hike is a great option for those who want to explore the local flora and fauna, as it takes you through some of the area’s most beautiful forests.

Dent de Valerette
Dent de Valerette is a popular hiking destination in Switzerland. The trail offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The hike is rated as T2 and is recommended for experienced hikers. The trail passes through forests, alpine meadows, and rocky terrain, providing a varied and interesting hiking experience. The summit of Dent de Valerette offers panoramic views of the Swiss Alps and is well worth the climb. Welcome to the legendary Dents-du-Midi Tour in the Swiss Alps, a challenging adventure meant for advanced hikers looking to immerse themselves in the beauty of the mountains. This 47 km trail can be completed in just 2 stages, with seven accommodations available along the way to plan your TDDM adventure as you wish.
With a highest point of 2494 m and an elevation gain and vertical drop of 3182m, this hike is rated T2 and T3 in difficulty and is only available from June to October. Those who want to experience the mountain dream but avoid any planning or risks can hire our experienced mountain leaders to guide them on this superb trail.
